The Decision is Yours

I believed the lies for a really long time.

These ones.

If you want to love your body, you must fit into a certain size.

You need to work out 6 days/week.

You should stop eating when you’re 80% full.

You need to completely give up sugar, grains, dairy, maybe even animal products altogether.

You should only wear things that “flatter your figure.”

You need to hide your flaws with expensive products.

If you want to love your body, you should do everything you possibly can to make it perfect.

These lies hurt, and believing them doesn’t get you any closer to loving your body. Believing these lies only pushes you farther and farther away.

So, what does get you closer? Nature. Rebellion. Acceptance. Trust. Forgiveness. Gratitude.

But first, a decision. Because here’s the truth.

You can eat whatever you want, work out when you want to, wear whatever you want, and feel like a million bucks.

If you want to love your body, the only thing you need to do is decide you want to love your body more than you want to keep believing the lies.

The decision is yours.
