“I really want to be spending more time outside, but…”

I can’t tell you how often I hear this from new clients and women I meet, and honestly, it excites me! It means that however you finish the sentence is an opportunity for me to support you in overcoming the challenges that stand between you and your desire to be in nature.

  • Logistical: work, family, schedule, etc.

  • Physical: injuries, fitness, joint pain, etc.

  • Psychological: nerves, fear, unfamiliarity, or even unworthiness

I know that the combination of all these factors can be overwhelming, and the idea of going it alone is daunting.

I’m no stranger to hurdles like these. Just a few short months ago, I found myself in the worst shape of my life, physically and mentally. Years of social distancing, a move to a very tiny town, and an unreasonable number of personal challenges had plunged me into a deep depression that depleted my body, mind, and spirit. After emerging from survival mode and getting my basic needs taken care of, I knew exactly what to do—get back outside again and start hiking. In January, I committed to taking 52 hikes this (#52hikechallenge), knowing it would be hard in the shape I was in, but that my body and spirit would thank me. The results? I’m feeling healthier than I have since before the pandemic! I’m 39 and a half, feeling inspired, energetic, and focused…and I owe it all to hiking. 

But I get it—I recognize that my skill set, training, and experience make me uniquely able to commit to a challenge like this, and sustain it. I’m an expert hiker with all the knowledge, resources, and tools I could possibly want or need, and not every woman has the same privilege. So trust me when I say I truly enjoy nothing more than sharing all that I’ve learned in my decade of backpacking, hiking, camping, and traveling with you so you can experience the profound transformation I’ve had (and repeatedly continue to have) by spending time in nature.

FAQs

  • It’s open for registration now and the first lesson debuts on June 1, 2023!

  • This is a virtual course with video lessons that you can watch on your own whenever it works for you and your schedule. Expect new lessons every week throughout June and July, along with activities for reflection, planning, and training to complete on your own.

  • I’m so glad you asked! I love answering your questions and supporting you in a live format, so yes. I will host 3 live calls (one per month May-July) with all the women in the program. Bring your questions or requests for support and I’ll do my best to make time for everyone. If you can’t make it to the live calls, send your questions in advance and I’ll answer them during the call, which will be recorded so you can watch it later. You’ll also be invited to join the virtual community with all the women in the course, where you can ask questions and make friends.

  • It’s designed as an 8-week program with weekly lessons and 3 monthly coaching calls with Caroline. The course begins in June and ends in August. However, it’s self-paced, so you can take as much time as you need. Access to the course never expires.

  • Absolutely. The only prerequisite is your desire to hike and/or camp and grow into a more confident adventurer!

  • This program includes an overnight campout with Caroline and all the other women! We will be camping in Leavenworth, WA on Sunday, August 6th (waking up in the campsite on Monday, August 7th). More details will be provided upon course registration.
